The awesome street art intervention by La Galería de Magdalena at Muros Tabacalera Project currently under way in Madrid (5/5-5/13) made my day yesterday. La Galería de Magdalena is a Madrid-based platform for cultural projects that generate public participation and sociability connecting public space and digital space. The notions of the gift–“urban gifts” / #RegalosUrbanos–and the production of affective connections (vínculos afectivos) are key concepts guiding La Galerías’ larger project of social transformation. Here are pictures of some of their beautiful gifts to us all everywhere:
“Lo que llaman pecado es el progreso / What they call sin is progress”
“La felicidad está sobrevalorada lo importante es dormir 8 horas / Happiness is overvalued, the key is to have 8 hours of sleep”; “Que el fin del mundo te pille bailando / May the end of the world find you dancing” … and many more.
